OUR NEW YEAR’S MESSAGE:      As we enter a New Year I’d just like to share some thoughts with you. In our Advent Bible Studies we looked at the characteristics of God’s promised King. He would be just, rule wisely, help the needy and defeat the oppressors. He would trust in God and do God’s desire. We see all this fulfilled in the life of Christ. We also looked at how the bible says that we should live our lives. We are to have the attitude of Christ, so in other words, do all of the above. We are to do as God wants, not conforming to the world’s standards , but letting God transform our minds. We ought to obey God’s commands, to listen to him,  to love God and our neighbour -   we are obliged to love because God is love.  As Micah 6:8 says “ The Lord has told us what is good. What he requires is this: to do what is just, to show constant love and to live in humble fellowship with our God”. I pray that throughout 2020 God will equip and guide us  all to live out this command.  I look forward to serving God alongside you all this year and ask that God grants you all a happy new year.  VAL

BMS Legal Worker Jane Edwards helps people replace important registration documents lost in the storms. Liz Vilela helps children and parents deal with the psychological effects of the cyclone damage.

Since we lost our dear friend Olwen M the job of collecting, trimming and sending off used stamps to aid Home-Mission fundraising has not been done. Could this be a quiet job you could undertake? Please mention it to a Deacon.
